The problem is that once you have scale in your machine it is very hard to remove completely and will simply never perform the same.

This 6-pack of dual-action filters, which suit select Breville® Espresso Machines, combines advanced carbon filtration with ion-exchange resin to improve water quality and extend your espresso machine's life.

Instructions:
- Remove the water tank and drain any remaining water.
- Discard the old filter.
- Soak the new filter in water for 5–10 minutes, then rinse with fresh water.
- Install filter into water tank filter holder and reset filter replacement dial.
- Install filter holder into the tank.
- Fill the tank to the maximum fill line.
- Reinstall the tank into the machine.
